HQ Construction works on construction and remodeling projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. The team brings together project coordination, field execution, and client communication to turn plans into completed spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Review plans, specifications, site observations, and scope completeness.
- Prepare quantity takeoffs and labor, material, equipment, and subcontract cost estimates.
- Request and compare supplier and trade quotations on a consistent scope basis.
- Document exclusions, allowances, contingencies, and pricing risks for review.
- Maintain estimate revisions and support handover to project delivery teams.
Required Qualifications
- Experience preparing construction estimates or detailed quantity and cost analyses.
- Ability to read drawings and identify scope gaps or conflicting information.
- Strong spreadsheet skills and disciplined documentation of pricing assumptions.
- Ability to communicate estimate limitations clearly to project stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Residential remodeling, additions, or ADU estimating experience in the Bay Area.
- Experience with digital takeoff tools and subcontractor bid leveling.
Skills & Competencies
Numerical accuracy, analytical judgment, scope definition, research, and commercial awareness.
